Dave Eisenhaure founded SatCon Technology Corporation in 1985 and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer, subsequently, turned the Company public in 1992 (Nasdaq: SATC). Mr. Eisenhaure has over 30 years of experience in developing and marketing advanced mechanical and electrical components for power applications.
Mr. Eisenhaure has won numerous business development awards and has various patents in electromechanical, power systems, and control areas. Mr. Eisenhaure has also received the Small Business Administration National Tibbetts Award for outstanding contribution in the field of flywheel energy storage and the Discover Magazine Award for Technological Innovation for Automotive and Transportation in 1995, along with Francois Castaing of Chrysler Corporation for technological achievement in hybrid-electric vehicles.
Prior to founding the Corporation, Mr. Eisenhaure was associated with the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, from 1974 to 1985, and with its predecessor, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Instrumentation Laboratory, from 1967 to 1974. Mr. Eisenhaure holds S.B., S.M. and an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T. Mr. Eisenhaure also serves on the Board of Directors of Implant Sciences Corporation.
Former Vice President and Chief Scientist, SatCon Technology Corporation
James L. Kirtley, Jr. became a Director in 1992. Dr. Kirtley. joined the Corporation as a Consultant in 1985 and became a Director in 1992. Dr. Kirtley was a full time employee of the company from March, 1998 until September, 2000. He was Vice President and General Manager from March 1998 until February 2000 and Vice President and Chief Scientist until September 2005. Dr. Kirtley continues to consult for the company on various projects. Dr. Kirtley is Professor of Electrical Engineering at M.I.T., having joined the M.I.T. faculty in 1971. Dr. Kirtley received his S.B., S.M. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from M.I.T.
Founder and Chairman of The Newgrange Company, LLC
Mr. Carroll is Founder and Chairman of The Newgrange Company, a diversified plastics product manufacturer with operations in the United States, India, Vietnam, China and Mexico. Prior to establishing Newgrange, fifteen years ago, he was Chief Financial Officer of Leach & Garner Company and previously served as a consultant with Arthur D. Little, Inc. Mr. Carroll holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University and is an English Chartered Accountant. He currently serves on the boards of A. W. Chesterton Company and Leach & Garner Company.
Director, President and Chief Executive Officer, Kronos Advanced Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Dwight, 46, is Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kronos Advanced Technologies, a publicly traded high technology company. Mr. Dwight is credited with turning Kronos, an early stage technology company, into a viable operating business, by providing leadership, vision and strategic direction.
Prior to Kronos, Mr. Dwight spent nearly 20 years at General Electric Company, assuming various domestic and international positions in GE's industrial businesses and GE Capital. Mr. Dwight provided strategic and business development leadership at multiple global locations, including defining strategic vision, formulating business plans and developing commercial financing and private equity investments across the Asia Pacific Region.
Mr. Dwight has an MBA in Marketing and Finance with Honors from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BS in Accounting with Honors from the University of Vermont.
Managing General Partner RockPort Capital Partners
David Prend is a Managing General Partner of RockPort Capital Partners.
Mr. Prend began his career in the energy industry as an engineer at Bechtel where he worked in the area of advanced energy technologies. From 1984-87 he worked at Amoco in the Treasurer's Department, and in the chemical and upstream oil and gas subsidiaries. He later joined Shearson Lehman in their Natural Resources Investment Banking Group where he advised companies in the energy, mining and forest products industries. In 1990 he joined Salomon Brothers where he was promoted Managing Director and headed the Global Energy Investment Banking Group. In 1998 Mr. Prend co-founded RockPort Partners, a merchant bank specializing in the energy and environmental sectors and in 2001 he co-founded Rockport Capital Partners, the venture fund.
He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Achates Power, Aspen Aerogels, Aspen Products Group, Hycrete, and Lilliputian Systems. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association and the Board of Trustees of Exeter Health Resources Inc.
Mr. Prend received a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Philip J. Deutch, Managing Partner Prior to forming NGP Energy Technology Partners with NGP, Mr. Deutch was a Managing Director at Perseus, L.L.C. where he led, or co-led, the firm's energy investing and was on the firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Deutch is a former member of the Board of Directors of Evergreen Solar (NASDAQ-ESLR) and is a former Board Member of Beacon Power Corp. (NASDAQ-BCON), Northern Power Systems and International Marketing Concepts and former Observer to the Boards of Directors of Vision Solutions, SatCon Technology, and Proton Energy. Mr. Deutch has spoken or been on panels at energy conferences held by Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Credit Suisse First Boston, Salomon Smith Barney, the American Council for Renewable Energy, Bear Stearns, Montreux Energy, McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and the FRA Renewable Energy Finance & Investment Summit. Mr. Deutch served on the Advisory Committee for the 2005 Energy Venture Fair and the selection committees for the 2005 Cleantech Venture Forum and 2005 National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Industry Growth Forum

Mr. Schoenberger is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Unitil Corp., a combined gas and electric utility operating in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Prior to his employment with Unitil in 1997, Mr. Schoenberger was President and Chief Operating Officer, from 1993 to 1997, and Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration, 1985 to 1993, of the New York Power Authority, a state-owned utility operating 6000 Mw of generation and 1400 miles of high voltage transmission. Mr. Schoenberger is also Chairman and Trustee of Exeter Health Resources and a past Director of the Southwest Power Pool. He earned a BA from La Salle University, an MA from the University of Delaware and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
President and Chief Executive Officer Elected 2008
Mr. Rhoades joined the Corporation on May 1, 2008 as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Rhoades was employed by Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. from September 2002 through 2007; on December 19, 2005, Mr. Rhoades was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Energy. Previously, Mr. Rhoades was Vice President, Corporate Development at Portera Systems. Prior to Portera Systems, he held senior positions at Lam Research, Trikon Technologies and Applied Materials. Mr. Rhoades holds BS and MS Degrees in Physics from the University of Illinois.
